Ableton has announced Loop Create 2022 which, this year, focuses on the ways musicians, producers and engineers around the world are collaborating.

Loop Create 2022 takes place day-long on 29 October, running for 6.5 hours. The event is online but there is still no word on whether there might be a physical element to the event.

Full details of the event will be announced on 11 October, according to Ableton, but anyone can register for the free event at loop.ableton.com.

A day of inspiration for music-makers

“At this year’s edition of Loop Create, we’ll take a closer look at the ways people are making music together today; pooling their talents and ideas in collaborations, cooperating with each other to do things they couldn’t do on their own, and adding their voices to collective forms of creation for fun, profit and surprise,” writes a statement on the event.

Guest speakers at Ableton Loop will include avant-garde electronic producer Aquarian, guitarist Maya Shenfeld, Sam Slater with film composer and cellist Hildur Guðnadóttir, Juba, Gaffaci and Mustelide.

Shenfeld is set to host an insightful workshop on how written instructions can help create a positive environment in the studio. Meanwhile, Gafacci, Juba, Aquarian and Mustelide will provide insight into their creative processes.

Loop Create 2021

Last year’s edition of Loop Create featured discussions, workshops and talks from with Spitfire Audio, A. Fruit, Liz Teutsch, KMRU and many more. It took place in two parts: as a virtual event, and as an in-person one for those who signed up.

For those who missed those sessions, Ableton has been slowly dropping videos from Loop Create 2021 on Youtube over the last year – if you don’t think you have the patience to wait for the uploads of 2022’s sessions however, you best not miss the date (29 October!)
