Amp Room is a plug-in suite designed for guitar players that emulates the workflow of tracking guitars in a “luxury studio”, with simulations of both classic and rarefied vintage gear. Softube has described the software as a “continuously growing platform”, boasting compatibility with its other plug-ins.

Music-makers are given access to emulations of six amplifier models, 16 cabinets, 10 effects pedals, eight utility modules and three studio effects – all of which can be run in combinations to create “authentic, and incredibly realistic guitar and bass sounds.”

Amp Room also allows other Softube plug-ins and modules to be inserted at any point in the chain, which could be used to create patches that would otherwise be trickier (or just bothersome) to execute in a physical studio setting.

Launching alongside Amp Room is its first expansion, the Marshall Cabinet Collection. As the name implies, this adds eight “classic, rare and hand-wired” speaker cabinet emulations, licensed by Marshall.

Each simulated cabinet also features its own set of six single-microphone options and six “mix-ready” microphone combinations that can be used on other amplifiers in Amp Room.

Introductory prices for Amp Room and the Marshall Cabinet Collection are set at $99 and $22 respectively; these prices revert to $149 and $39 after 9 July.

Softube has also made it known that upgrade paths for previous owners of Vintage Amp Room, Bass Amp Room, Metal Amp Room and the Amp Room Bundle will be available.
